Gallery222 is thrilled to be hosting a floral design and arranging workshop.  Floral designs will be by Jennifer Reed and a painting demonstration and workshop will be by Jan Wier.

The workshop will start with you learning how to choose flowers both colors and focal flowers for your desired look.  Jennifer will then teach you the art of creating floral designs.  This will be followed up with a relaxed lunch.   After lunch, Jan will hold a floral painting demonstration and workshop.

No experience is needed. You will be required to bring along your own painting supplies and small clippers.

The workshop is limited to 15 people.

Cost: $200 (Includes flowers and vessels, professional floral design instruction, boxed lunch, and an afternoon of painting instruction.)

Join Cathy Hetznecker for a discussion about how to create a gallery wall in your home.  She will discuss the myriad of ways to approach this concept.  She will discuss ways to organize your collection, and come up with a wall that works best for your unique home, artwork, and space.

 Cathy will be available to speak individually with attendees after her talk.  Please bring photos of your space and your works so that she can help you come up with your own individual plan.

The event is FREE but REGISTRATION is required.

A bit about Cathy

 Cathy is an Art Installer.  She spends her days traveling around the Main Line arranging and hanging artwork in her client’s homes, businesses as well as public spaces like the Wayne Art Center.

 Her work has many additional facets.  She also helps her clients discern which pieces in their collections are best to hang in their homes.  She also selects and advises on the purchase of new artworks for her clients from her extensive knowledge of local artists.

 Before starting her Art Installation work, she managed the Haverford location of Framers Market Gallery , a family owned custom framing business with 3 locations.  Prior to that, she had her own business as a textile artist, creating unique crocheted fabric, rugs, pillows, and upholstered furniture.  She taught her craft through day long workshops in the Philadelphia area.  In 2009, she founded and became co-president for six years of the Haverford Guild of Craftsman.

 She lives in Havertown and is the mother of two wonderful daughters ages 21 and 23.
